Nancy Hill is Senior Vice President, Head of Tax Reporting and Operations, for Fidelity Investments, a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing and other financial products and services to more than 40 million individuals, institutions, and financial intermediaries.
In this role, Ms. Hill leads lead the teams that are responsible for federal & state tax compliance and operations for FMR LLC and Fidelity’s private equity and venture capital partnerships. She is also responsible for the oversight of IRS and state audits/controversy, tax accounting, provision & tax financial statement reporting. Her background includes over 30 years of experience building and leading high performing teams focused on tax compliance, planning & operations.
Prior to joining the company, Ms. Hill served as Senior Vice President, Tax for Harvard Management Company from 2007 to 2016. In this role she was responsible for the build-out of a global tax compliance function from the ground up to support the tax compliance and reporting needs of Harvard University’s endowment investment subsidiaries and internal and external investments covering multiple investment platforms including Natural Resources, Real Estate, Private Equity, Absolute Return & Public Markets across 20+ foreign tax jurisdictions. In partnership with Internal Tax Counsel, she was responsible for the development of organizational tax policies & procedures, including the development of multi-disciplinary investment structure management tools for direct investments.
Ms. Hill’s prior experience also includes tenures as Vice President, Director of Global Tax Compliance for Wellington Management Company (1999-2008) and senior tax manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers, financial services practice (1996-1999).
Ms. Hill received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Boston College and a Master’s in Taxation from Northeastern University.
