Dominick Ianno is the Head of State Government Relations for the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (“MassMutual’), headquartered in Springfield, Massachusetts. Dominick joined the company in 2018 and leads the advocacy and engagement strategy for MassMutual’s legislative and regulatory priorities, which includes frequent interaction with state and local government officials.  

Dominick serves in leadership roles at several prominent business advocacy and policy organizations, including Executive Committee Chair of the Life Insurance Association of Massachusetts, Executive Committee Vice-Chair of the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation, and Chair of the Springfield Regional Chamber’s Legislative Steering Committee. He is also on the Executive Committee of the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, a Board Member of the Springfield Regional Chamber, the Association of California Life and Health Insurance Companies, and the California Life & Health Insurance Guarantee Association, and a member and former Chair of the State Legislative Strategy Group at the American Council of Life Insurers,

Immediately prior to joining MassMutual, Dominick served as a senior official in Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker’s Executive Office for Administration and Finance from 2015 to 2018. In that role, he developed and implemented strategies to secure passage of the state budget, help the Commonwealth achieve fiscal structural balance while increasing the reserve fund, and pass major policy initiatives. He provided counsel on budget management, fiscal policy, economic forecasting, real estate management, procurement, and human resources. He also served as the agency’s board member representative to several major quasi-public state agencies, including the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center and the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority.

He previously worked as Director of Public Affairs at Pfizer, as a media and policy consultant at Gray Media Group in Boston, and as an aide to four previous Massachusetts governors.

Dominick is a graduate of the New England School of Law in Boston and the State University of New York, College at Oswego. He lives in Walpole, Massachusetts with his wife Deb and their two sons.
